Technical Coordinator

Job Summary 


Hope Channel Southeast Asia is looking for a Technical Coordinator to support the video operations of the channel. He or she will be responsible for all aspects of the control room duties and will play a vital role in providing support to our production team. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail and accuracy, assuring that all the material meets high standards.




·       Executing error-free commands for camera cuts, effects, graphics, and takes.

·       Creating & executing video transitions and special effects.

·       Installation of cameras, lights and other equipment for recording.

·       Maintain and Operate equipment.

·       Testing and troubleshooting equipment functionality issues, reporting them and ensuring repairs are made in a timely manner.

·       Operating equipment to produce and broadcast live studio programs and live programs from remote locations.

·       Managing and Coordinating video projects and shoots.

·       Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules as well as overtime when called for by operational need.

·       Manage project requests and work with individual departments to meet their video needs.

·       Perform other duties as directed by Production Manager which may include assisting in the production of various program elements, as well as direct and technical direct additional programs.


Education And Experience

·       BA/BS in Communications, Television or Film, or equivalent experience.  

·       Experience with Television series, Documentary, Commercial or Corporate video is preferred.




·       Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)

·       Proficiency in Adobe After Effects.

·       Ability to plan ahead, troubleshoot and adapt to change with ease.

·       Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity etc.

·       Familiarity with special effects, Color Correction, and compositing.

·       The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production work environment.

·       Ability to be flexible in approach, and respond well to pressure.

·       Knowledge of and ability to use electronic equipment and computer hardware and software related to television broadcast operations

·       Must speak advanced English and one of the following languages: Thai, Bahasa, Lao and/or Vietnamese.
